I'm back!

Well folks, I got extremely busy lately but I am back! Not even sure where to begin. School...a few trips...new and old friends...the weather is beautiful...the Emu's are having babies, etc...

Lets start off with school, so I am currently taking two MBA classes on-line with an American university. Fun times, had to rent my books on-line from 3 different websites. It was cheap, unlike purchasing the actual text books. The problem is finding all the books. Hopefully next semester won't be such a run around. Taking on-line classes has started to consume my life. Teaching yourself is not fun and if I can get a job being an on-line instructor I would gladly do it...because they don't do much. The plan of instruction is already set. They just answer a few questions here and there...grade assignments from each week.

More school, I am currently taking a Portuguese class each week at the Federal University. Its free too, but the quality of instruction is questionable. The first classes were awesome with a seasoned instructor. Now its a young and not very good instructor. The seasoned guy could answer a question in English but this new guy can't. So if I have a question too bad! Oh well, its free and I think it will help me. Hopefully it will all make sense soon. I do however find it hard to focus on Portuguese when I have the other 2 classes I need to complete.

Trips, I went to Pirenopolis and Caldas Novas with friends. Best way to travel because they have a place there and know the area. Both very simple places that I enjoyed! Pirenopolis was a camping place / small farm looking place. We stayed in the house though, no camping this time. The host cooked on a wood burning fireplace and was so simple. The kids loved it and we enjoyed swimming the next day in a creek. Next was Caldas Novas with my wife's childhood friend. Small little house with a really nice patio. We enjoyed the community pools with the chose between hot or cold pools. The kids were like fish for the two days and we had a huge BBQ. It was simple and a wonderful time. Can't wait to go back to either of these places soon. Our next trip that is planned is to a friends lake house next month....and a friends farm next weekend. We are so busy here but love it!

The weather is turning around, it is raining a little bit! So happy to have some moisture. Soon the glass will be green and lazy days of watching movies watching the rain outside. Its amazing that this place is pretty much a desert for 6 months.

The Emu's finally had babies and we get to see them from time to time. They are tiny but very fast. Even though they are odd looking, they are great for where we live. They eat a lot of critters and bugs. I complain about them stepping on my plants and leaving piles of crap next to the house but the benefits they provide are well worth it.

Well thanks for stopping by!
